My grandma used to cook this, and I feared the recipe was lost. Thankfully, I stumbled upon it, and it’s tastier than ever! (Page 2 ) | July 20, 2024
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and grease 9×13 baking dish.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine diced peaches, all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, whole milk, baking powder, sea salt, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Mix until just combined.
3. In a separate saucepan, prepare the topping by melting the unsalted butter. Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, and water. Bring to a gentle boil and let it simmer for a few minutes until the sugars dissolve.
4. Pour the peach mixture into a baking dish.
5. Carefully pour the prepared topping mixture over the peach mixture. Do not stir.
6. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
7. Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
Serve the Tennessee Peach Pudding warm, optionally garnished with ice cream, whipped cream, or cool whip.
